Chinese:
Bonita Vista High School is an AP/IB school whose World Language Department offers a wide range of languages such as
Spanish, French, Italian, Filipino and Japanese. In 2009, BVHS became the third school in the district to offer Chinese.
From 2009-2011, we offered a multi-level, combo Chinese class:
Chinese 1/2 - 1st year. Chinese 3/4 - 2nd year.
Chinese 5/6 - 3rd year. Chinese 7/8 - 4th year.
Currently, Chinese classes have been cancelled.
Free Trip to China?
In May 2011, students had the opportunity to compete in the Chinese Bridge Program
through the Confucius Institute at San Diego State University.
The top two from San Diego/L.A. County region will receive a free trip to
China and compete at the next level. Click here for more info (pdf).
